Experimental music, noise, and one-night installations launch Ratskin Records' 20th-anniversary series.
Ratskin Records is excited to launch a new ongoing music series at The Roar Shack in San Francisco. Centered on adventurous live performances and pop up installations in celebration of Ratskin Records 20th anniversary. The series will showcase experimental music, noise, electronic, avant-garde, and genre-defying artists from the Bay Area and beyond, creating a recurring home for adventurous sounds and creative community, co curated by Ratskin Records in collaboration with Bay Area multidisciplinary artist Golden Champagne Flavored Sweatshirt.
Each installment over the next year will feature a curated lineups incorporating special one-night only installations that complement the live performances and pull from both past and future Ratskin projects bringing in twenty plus years of collaborations . The series will also include a Ratskin Records pop-up shop featuring new and archival releases, books, zines, prints, apparel, and exclusive 20th anniversary merchandise, giving audiences the opportunity to explore two decades of independent music and artist-led publishing. There will be a special release produced that will only be available at these special events.
The first installment happens November 6th - lineup announced September 1st - until then, it’s a secret!
More than a concert series, this unique collaboration aims to build on the communal aspect of Outsider Sounds & Visions and continue to establish The Roar Shack as a destination for forward-thinking live music and art intersecting with a community rooted in togetherness and outsider out in San Francisco.
